The MMA Prospectus: BJJ to MMA, Bellator Dynamite, WSOF, Titan, and more

New, comments

Zane Simon and T.P. Grant are back to look over the rising talent fighting outside the UFC this week, including Andre Harrison and Vagab Vagabov. Bellator champ Liam McGeary, WSOF's Justin Gaethje, and a big influx of BJJ guys on their way to MMA.

It's a bit of a wandering week for the MMA Prospecuts. Yeah, we've got Bellator to talk about, but not a whole lot of top prospects dotting that card. Same with WSOF, BAMMA, and Titan FC; lots of fights, not a lot of fights of major interest. Still we're looking at Liam McGeary, Carlos Eduardo Rocha, and Adam Piccolotti. As well as Timur Valiev, Justin Gaethje, Andre Harrison and Dez Green. Oh, and of course Tom Duquesnoy and Karl Moore over in the UK.

The major off-topic topic of the week is the latest crop of BJJ stars looking to take a stab at MMA competition. Marcus Almeida, Gary Tonon, and Rodolfo Vieira among others may signal a shift in the landscape for top sport grapplers looking to MMA as a logical career platform (something that's been a bit absent in MMA lately). And we're also spotlighting top bantamweight prospect Julio Arce, fighting out of Team Tiger Schulmann in Ring of Combat.
