The UFC has picked up ONE FC's top lightweight contender in Vuyisile Colossa, and according to a report from MMA-in-Asia, the talented striker is set to make his debut near his adopted home when the UFC returns to Macau this August.

Based out of Hong Kong, Colossa is a former kickboxing champ who has been plying his trade in ONE FC, going 3-1 in the Asian promotion. The South African fighter has overcome close losses to now UFC lightweight Yui Chul Nam, and top prospect Lowen Tynanes en route to picking up two of the biggest wins in his career.

Known for his accurate and devastating striking, Colossa has shown a much more improved MMA game as of late, completely dominating former ONE FC champion Kotetsu Boku, and UFC vet Caros Fodor on his last two outings. The quality victories catapulted him atop their lightweight rankings, which turned heads and eventually got the UFC interested.

Also booked for the Macau card, as Bloody Elbow has learned from sources in Asia, is Colossa's former teammate in Alberto Mina (10-0). The decorated BJJ blackbelt was supposed to make his debut during the UFC's last trip to Chinese territory, until the bout got cancelled when his opponent Zak Cummings came in over weight.

As of this writing, no opponent has been named for either fighter on the Macau event headlined by Michael Bisping vs. Cung Le, but an announcement is expected to be made by the UFC in the coming weeks.

Lastly, multiple reports out of China have stated that The Ultimate Fighter winner Zhang Lipeng will be dropping back down to lightweight to compete on the card, while the TUF: China Featherweight Finals between Yang Jianping and Ning Guangyou is also a possibility for the show.

Zhang edged Wang Sai in a close and somewhat controversial decision to be the first TUF: China winner, while the featherweight finale was originally set to happen on the same card, until Yang pulled out at the last minute. Interestingly enough, unlike most UFC fighters locked in exclusive deals, Yang has recently competed in a smaller MMA event in China and picked up a victory earlier this month.

UPDATE: Even though he signed a deal with the UFC, ONE FC is now contesting Colossa's free agency. They're stating that he's still technically under contract so his debut might not be set in stone after all.

Check out the partial line up so far.
