In the UFC 156 FX prelims feature bout, Evan Dunham (14-3) squeaked by Gleison Tibau (26-9) with a split decision. Dunham improved to 7-3 in the UFC Lightweight division, while Tibau dropped to 12-7.

Despite the impressive grappling credentials of both fighters, this fight took place mostly on the feet. Tibau landed quite a few solid shots, but Dunham landed more often and used a sticking jab to keep Gleison back. After 15 minutes, 2 of the judges saw the fight for Dunham.

What was the high point of the fight?

It was a solid fight, but left without any great moments. Neither man really had a point that came close to a finish either.

Where do they go from here?

Coming off a losing Fight of the Night effort against T.J. Grant, this fight got Dunham back on track. Gleison doesn't have the biggest name in the division, but it's a quality win that'll keep Evan fighting top 20 competitors.

This is exactly the kind of fight Gleison tends to fall short on. Historically speaking, he's always been competitive with the middle of the pack, but can't get to that next level. Jacob Volkmann might be a good idea for his next match.

Watch it now, later, or never?

Watch it later. Another solid fight, but nothing happened to make it "must see."
