Two stars from the Asian circuit are set to tangle in Vegas, as China's Jumabieke Tuerxun is set to face the Singapore-based Brazilian in Leandro Issa on July 6th. Bloody Elbow has confirmed the match up with multiple sources close to the fighters, and the bout will be part of The Ultimate Fighter 19 Finale line up headlined by B.J. Penn vs. Frankie Edgar 3.
After dominating in the Chinese MMA circuit for years, Bieke entered the UFC and had his unbeaten streak snapped by Filipino featherweight Mark Eddiva. For his sophomore outing, he will be returning to a more natural weight class as he takes on yet another fighter from Singapore's Evolve MMA camp.
Issa on the other hand, had a good run as a top contender in ONE FC which saw him pick up wins over the likes of Masakazu Imanari and Yusup Saadulaev. Unfortunately, he also ran into trouble during his UFC debut, as he was submitted by Hawaiian prospect Russell Doane last January.
Interestingly enough, Bieke has already faced Issa's teammate in Irshaad Sayed twice, and 'Brodinho' has emulated the Chinese star as he served as the primary training partner to for his Evolve MMA stablemate during that stint. Both men will look to take advantage of that familiarity as they try to avoid dropping two-straight, which on most cases means an early exit from the UFC.
