Canelo Alvarez returned to the ring on Saturday night, taking on the significantly taller and bigger Callen Smith to unify the WBA, WBC and Ring middleweight titles. No knockdowns were landed, but it was a great performance nonetheless as Canelo Alvarez took majority of the rounds, just constantly battering Smith throughout the fight.
Smith was tough and showed heart, surviving big shots and still never being knocked down in his career. In the end though, he lost a pretty wide decision.

Smith ties up and the crowd boos haha. Canelo wails on Smith some more. Under a minute to go. Looks like Smith will go the distance but he’s lost his title for sure. 120-108 Canelo.
