UFC 255 Video: Mike Perry walks out to the wrong song, sings to it anyway

From time to time, the UFC tends to bungle a fighter’s walkout music on fight night.

Rose Namajunas was supposed to enter the arena to Michael McDonald’s “Sweet Freedom” during her title fight at UFC 217, but she ended up walking out to “Supersonic” by Oasis. After the fight, “Thug Rose” said she was a little “thrown off” when she walked out to the “worst song ever.”

And here was her reaction when it happened again at UFC 237. Namajunas walked out to AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck,” which is honestly a banging track.

Mike Perry had the same experience on Saturday at UFC 255. Instead of his usual contemporary R&B tunes, “Platinum” was greeted with one of Beyonce’s best-sellers, “Halo.” But unlike Namajunas, here was his reaction.

Despite his high spirits during the walkout, Perry lost the bout to Tim Means via unanimous decision, along with $27,000 of his purse because of missing weight. He has lost three of his last four bouts, and is also involved in very serious domestic violence accusations.
