Conor McGregor and Donald Cerrone plan to party with whiskey and Budweiser ahead of proposed fight

It looks like Conor McGregor really is interested in a fight against Donald Cerrone.

After congratulating ‘Cowboy’ for his brutal TKO stoppage win over Alex Hernandez at UFC Fight Night 143, ‘The Notorious’ hinted that he would be down to ‘party’ with Cerrone — presumably at a pre-fight press conference — before their proposed lightweight match-up.

It was Cerrone, who holds the record for most wins inside the Octagon, who initiated the exchange with this Instagram post.

McGregor, the former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion, responded with this complimentary Tweet.

UFC president Dana White also seems open to the bout, telling reporters that, if the fans want to see it, he’ll make it happen.

“I mean, anything’s possible,” White said. “If those guys want that and the fans want to see it, that’s what I do.”

“Obviously, don’t run out there and say that’s the fight I’m making. I don’t know what I’m going to do. But I like the fact that two of these guys that are complete dogs and fight anybody are willing to fight each other. That’s fun.”

McGregor hasn’t fought since his submission loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229. Following the fight, both men were involved in a post-fight brawl and, as a result, are forced to attend a disciplinary hearing with the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) in the coming weeks.
