It has been a great week for Tex Johnson and Unity Jiu Jitsu.
Over the last 12 months, buzz has steadily been building for Johnson and this past week has acted as his coming out party. Last weekend he defeated Tom DeBlass in a close main-event at F2W before putting on a dominant display on Saturday, submitting all four of his opponents to win the ADCC trials in the +99KG division.
Check out the winners in the rest of the categories:
66kg: Ethan Crelinsten (Tristar/Renzo Gracie)
77kg: Jonathan Satava (Alliance Marcelo Garcia)
88kg: Alec Baulding (Alliance)
99kg: Tim Spriggs (Lloyd Irvin)
+99kg: Aaron Tex Johnson (Unity Jiu-Jitsu)
US grapplers will have one more chance to qualify for next year’s ADCC at the west coast trials in February.
