‘You broke my damn arm’ were the words Mike Perry tweeted to Donald Cerrone after ‘Cowboy’ submitted him with a slick armbar in the first round of last weekend’s UFC Fight Night co-main event in Denver, Colorado.

After going to the hospital and getting his arm X-rayed, however, ‘Platinum’ is relieved to have found out that he didn’t sustain as much damage as he initially thought.

Perry revealed in an Instagram story (h/t Jon Fuentes of LowKick MMA) that Cerrone did not break his arm at UFC Fight Night 139 which, of course, is great news for the knockout artist.

The 27-year-old plans to get an MRI scan on Thursday to diagnose any possible tendon or ligament damage.

“This is my arm. No bones look broke but mri Thursday will show ligament, tendon and muscle damage,” Perry posted on Instagram.

After his submission loss to Cerrone, Perry is 1-3 in his last four fights but is still considered one of the most exciting fighters in the welterweight division. The Jackson-Wink product will look to rebound from this loss with a big win against his next opponent. If the MRI scan comes back clean, Perry could return to action much sooner than expected.
