The headliner for the card will be the first semi-final of the Heavyweight Grand Prix, with Matt Mitrione meeting Bellator light heavyweight champion Ryan Bader. The second semi-final will take place tomorrow night when Fedor Emelianenko faces off with Chael Sonnen at Bellator 208.

Matt Mitrione vs. Ryan Bader

Round 1 - Bader throws first. The he gets the takedown. Mitrione fights his way to his feet after a minute or so, but is dragged back down. Mitrione is face down for a few seconds and eats some punches, but again works his way back up. Bader still has a body lock though, and they’re back down. Mitrione is up to one knee. Bader only lets him get that far before he plants him on his back. Mitrione is squirming, but he’s eating big shots now. H’es just covering up. He moves and stays in the fight. Bader traps an arm and opens up with more punches. Hard body shot. Another. Mitrione up to his knees. He looks tired already. Bader with two more hard punches to the face. Mitrione up. Bader with two cracking left hooks. 10-8 Bader.

Round 2 - Mitrione wades in with punches. He stuffs an initial Bader shot, but not for long. He’s on his back against the cage. Bader looking for a kimura from half guard. He gives it up. Mitrione rolls over and eats a few punches. He goes back to the kimura. He’s in side, cranking, but Mitrione is defending. He’s attacking it yet again. Mitrione rolls through. He rolls again and briefly looks for a leg lock. Bader’s having none of that. Mitrione squirms away and almost gets up, but Bader puts himon his butt with his back against the cage. Bader is just breaking him down. Meathead is on his back again with 50 seconds to go, in full guard. Mitrione again gets up just before the horn. 10-8 Bader.

Round 3 - Guess what happened? Yup, Bader took Mitrione down seven seconds into the round. He’s in Meathead’s full guard, plugging away. Mitrione rolls over, trying to get up. Bader won’t let him. Well, he did, for like two seconds. Until he was dragged down again. Bader is on his back, not doing a ton. He’s trying to land punches, but he’s not going to give up position to do it. The crowd is unhappy. More control. Control, control, control. 10-9 and 30-25 Bader.

Roy Nelson vs. Sergei Kharitonov

Round 1 - Kharitonov goes to the body immediately. Inside leg kick. Nelson with the right hook and he pushes Kharitonov against the fence. Sergei spins out. Jab from Kharitonov Nelson shoots a single but Kharitonov easily stops him. Nelson goes down to his knees and Kharitonov knees him right in the head. It doesn’t look hard but it was definitely illegal. Nelson is acting like he got shot. Nelson is up, but seems a bit wobbled. Sergei loses a point. They continue after three or four minutes. Kharitonov with a jab. Nelson lands a left hook, and now a right. Nelson is opening up a bit. Stiff left from Kharitonov. They trade jabs. Again. Nelson with a combination and he shoots. Sergei stuffs it. Kharitonov goes to the body. Nelson with a snapping left hook. Body shot again from Kharitonov. Kharitonov with an uppercut. Knees. Belson fires right back. They trade upercuts. Sergei lands a huge uppercut! Two overhand rights form Sergei. Nelson still firing back. Double jab and a right from Big Country. Kharitonov with a huge overhand right. Knees! Huge uppercut! Nelson eats a knee and he collapses to the mat just before the horn!

Ion Pascu vs. Lorenz Larkin

Round 1 - Outside leg kick from Larkin. Pascu shoots but Larkin stays on his feet. Pascu keeps him pressed against the fence. Not for long though, and they’re back in the center. Larkin with a right over the top. He puts together a combination and Pascu shoots again. That goes nowhere. Larkin ends a brief clinch with a hard knee to the body. He throws a front kick. Larkin with a slapping left hook and a heavy kick. Pascu blocks it though. Pascu with a hard inside leg kick. Body shot from Larkin. Pascu with a counter. Pascu scoops a single, but can’t get Larkin to the floor. Jab from Larkin. Hard straight right. 10-9 Larkin.

Round 2 - Pascu shoots immediately again but eats a knee. Pascu lands a big knee that may have been low. Larkin wants to fight on. Pascu with a counter right hook that lands. Hard outside leg kick and a shovel hook from Larkin. Another leg kick. Larkin changes stances and starts to jab. Larkin with a jump knee that’s blocked. Pascu walks Larkin down and tries for the takedown again, but gets reversed against the cage. Back in the center. More kicks. Pascu misses with a counter. Body kick from Ion. Larkin with a reaching right. Pascu scoops a leg, but Larkin still lands a punch as Pascu tries to take him down. He flops to the mat but is up immediately. Pascu holds him against the cage. 10-9 Larkin.

Round 3 - Side kick from Larkin. A big body kick is blocked by Pascu. Pascu with a sneaky right hook. Larkin jabbing. They both miss with a few strikes. Body kick and a right hook from Larkin. Outside leg kick. Straight left from Larkin. Larkin with another shovel hook that lands. Pascu is getting wild, and Larkin is touching him up. He lands a left though. He scoops a single and gets Larkin to the foor in side control. Just over two minutes to go. Larkin gets back to half guard quickly. He gets an underhook and pulls Pascu back into his full guard. Back to half. Pascu with a a bunch of lefts that aren’t very powerful and aren’t getting through. Back to full guard again. Pascu tries to drop big shots but can’t connect. He drops for a leg lock but there’s nothing there. Larkin takes the top. 10-9 and 30-27 Larkin.

Lorenz Larkin defeated Ion Pascu via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)

Kevin Ferguson Jr. vs. Corey Browning

Round 1 - Slice with a kick and a quick takedown. Browning looks for a sub from the bottom and reverses position. He is quickly reversed himself. Browning up, thenback down. Slice with two hard knees as Browning comes up again. Left hook and Slice has his back on the feet. Browning pancakes another takedown attempt and they scramble a bit. Another takedown and Slice is now in Browning’s full guard. He stands up, then sort of falls back into guard again. This is kind of sloppy. Browning reverses position again. He takes the back but has no hooks. Slice almost dumps him off, then does and returns to his feet. For about a second, until he looks for another takedown. Browning has a crucifix and he’s landing bunches of elbows. Slice squirms away. More elbows from Browning. 10-9 Browning I guess.

Round 2 - Slice lands a hard right as Browning lands a a body kick. Browning fires right back with a counter that drops Baby Slice! He looks to pound away but Slice gets his wits about him quickly and takes top position. Slice secures an arm-triangle choke, but can’t finish with it. He takes the back and flattens Browning out. He’s looking for a choke. Browning fights it off, then dumps Slice off of him. Slice looks exhausted. Browning steps over into mount and drops punches until the ref stops it. Well that was...something.

Corey Browning defeated Kevin Ferguson Jr. via TKO (strikes), 2:08 of round 2

Carrington Banks vs. Mandel Nallo

Round 1 - Slapping low kick from Nallo. They both miss with punches. Banks in on a double but gets nowhere. Nallo got a takedown. He’s looking to secure an anaconda choke, but Banks is scrambling away. Now he has a regular guillotine. Banks pops out and he’s on Nallo’s legs. Nallo is up, but Banks plants him on his back. He works from full guard. He grinds away but doesn’t really do anything. He can’t pass the guard. 10-9 Nallo.

Round 2 - Nallo jabbing away. Step-in knee and BANKS IS OUT! That came out of nowhere!

Mandel Nallo defeated Carrington Banks via KO (knee), :57 round 2
