With all of the confusion surrounding the UFC’s lightweight division right now, one thing is clear - interim champ Tony Ferguson badly wants to fight full champ Conor McGregor. But it’s McGregor’s ship, and he can steer it in whatever direction he chooses. Some saw it as a good sign that McGregor took to Twitter to call out Ferguson with a GTA-styled cartoon image.
Now Ferguson has responded, and it’s as unique as you’d expect from a guy like El Cucuy, full of his own GTA references:
It’s 50 seconds worth of cartoon images of his own. Everything from himself as death slaying other fighters with Conor’s picture up next, to McGregor hugging Dana, to chicken mcnuggets. To the tune of “I Ran (So Far Away) by 80’s group Flock of Seagulls.
At least they’re both being a lot more creative than the usual “I’ll kick your ass” shtick (see Michael Bisping and Georges St-Pierre for a lot of that). Can’t wait to see what Nate Diaz comes up with.
