Fight Night is once again upon us, Number 94 in the UFC’s series of “free” events. This happens to be one of their better non-PPV offerings, with several bouts that promise to be action-packed firecrackers. The only drawback is that it takes place in Texas, and if we visit our mind palaces, we know that the Lone Star state doesn’t have the best relationship with good judging and commission oversight. That said, it has a few really standout match-ups, and I’m more than looking forward to the action.
You know who else is looking forward to the action tonight? Bloody Elbow content partner, Thomas J. Toehold, Esquire. This cat’s been running in circles, little matchstick legs going clickety-clack, sounding like a pair of dice being rolled across a tile floor.
Amid all that excitement, he’s managed to put together his top fighter picks for Fight Night. Here’s a transcribed sampling of one of his picks to get you started.
“At Number 3 we have Augusto Montano. Montano is another fighter who doesn’t get hit a lot, and has a 100% finish rate, including 13 first-round finishes, one of which was his UFC debut. His opponent has a high decision rate, so that will give Montano time to work and put some lights out.”
