The UFC is worth big bucks. Earlier today, Bloody Elbow reported (via the Wrestling Observer) that there are many rumors saying the promotion is for sale at 100% ownership, and that bidding was coming in at around four billion. ESPN was able to confirm that two bidders have offered 4.1 billion - WME-IMG (in conjunction with Dalian Wanda Group), and China Media Capital.

The ESPN article also breaks down how WME is going after investors, stating that they're asking each for a 25-50 million dollar investment, and that Kraft Group has agreed to that. You might know them as the owner of the New England Patriots.

China Media Capital is a state-backed firm who recently acquired a TV deal for China's top soccer league for 1.3 billion.

UFC president Dana White has denied to details of the deal in the past, but had no comment on Thursday when reached by ESPN.

Rumors regarding the sale have really heated up of late, and a deal could be announced fairly soon. The ramifications of such a deal could forever alter the trajectory of the sport, so it's definitely something fans should keep an eye on. Bloody Elbow will report any more details that come to light over the next little while.
