The war of words between UFC fighters (namely Conor McGregor) and WWE wrestlers has been in the news a fair amount over the last few months. After McGregor called out a whole host of people, a lot of pro wrestlers jumped in to defend their craft and their co-workers. So it's not much of a surprise that other UFC fighters might want to get some press by doing the same thing.
In this case, it's UFC woman's bantamweight fighter Cat Zingano. After WWE women's champion Sasha Banks tweeted about her upcoming Hell In a Cell match with Charlotte on Sunday, Zingano responded with a direct callout:
Unfortunately for Zingano, it appears that her challenge fell on deaf ears. The 24-year-old pro wrestler never responded at all, and it didn't seem to catch the attention of anyone else that plies their trade in the squared circle either.
Zingano (9-2, 2-2 UFC) returned from a long absence in July, coming up short against Julianna Pena. She is not currently booked to fight.
