There are three title fights set for UFC 205 in New York City's Madison Square Garden. Eddie Alvarez fights Conor McGregor for Eddie's lightweight belt, while Joanna Jedrzejczyk fights fellow countrywoman Karolina Kowalkiewicz in a strawweight title defense. The co-main event will pit welterweight champion Tyron Woodley against Stephen "Wonderboy" Thompson.
Woodley won the title when he knocked out the iron-chinned Robbie Lawler in the UFC 201 main event back in July. It took him only a shade over 2 minutes to dethrone Lawler as champion, and you can watch the video of the fight at the top of the page.

R1: The first exchange comes nearly a minute deep as Woodley follows a right hand into the clinch. They're separated unusually fast by ref Dan Miragliotta. After another uneventful spurt, Woodley lunges forward with a scorching right hook that lays Lawler down. Lawler starts to sit up but Woodley stiffens him up with two more jackhammer rights.
