An exciting welterweight bout has been scheduled for the last UFC event of 2016, as the UFC announced on Tuesday welterweight Tim Means will meet Alex Oliveira at UFC 207. Oliveira is permanently moving up to welterweight after badly missing the lightweight limit for his fight against Will Brooks.

Looking for his third win in a row, Tim Means (26-7-1) meets Oliveira following two KO victories over Sabah Homasi and John Howard. His latest loss, a guillotine choke submission, came at the hands of Matt Brown at UFC 189.

Always moving back and forth between the lightweight and welterweight divisions, Alex Oliveira (16-3-1(1)) takes on Means following a third round TKO of former Bellator lightweight champion, Will Brooks. The fight was controversial due to Oliveira’s post-fight taunts, as well as missing weight by more than 5 pounds. Before that, the Brazilian defeated James Moontasri by unanimous decision in a welterweight match. His last loss happened when Donald Cerrone tapped him out with a triangle choke, in Februrary.

Tim Means will meet Alex Oliveira at UFC 207, on December 30, in Las Vegas. The card will be headlined by a female bantamweight title fight between champion Amanda Nunes and former champion, Ronda Rousey.
