UFC Fight Night 102 has taken shape. The event, scheduled for December 9th in Albany, NY, will feature heavyweight fights in the top two spots. The UFC announced those, with a list of other fights, yesterday via press release.
The headliner will see 10th-ranked Derrick Lewis looking to build on his momentum when he takes on Shamil Abdurakhimov. Lewis (16-4, 1 NC, 7-2 UFC) has won four fights in a row, with the most recent coming over Roy Nelson in July. Six of his seven UFC wins have been by KO/TKO. Abdurakhimov (17-3, 2-1 UFC) picked up a split decision win over Walt Harris earlier this month in Portland.
The co-main will see Anthony Hamilton (15-5, 3-0 UFC) taking on hyped prospect Francis Ngannou (8-1, 3-0 UFC).
The promotion officially confirmed the bantamweight bout between Aljamain Sterling and Raphael Assuncao, along with a light heavyweight scrap between Patrick Cummins and Gian Villante.
Here are the other announced bouts for the card:
Randy Brown vs. Charlie Ward
Oluwale Bamgbose vs. Joe Gigliotti
Keith Berish vs. Ryan Janes
Tatiana Suarez vs. Juliana Lima
Corey Anderson vs. Sean O'Connell
Tiago Trator vs. Zubaira Tukhugov.
