Michael Bisping facing potential 6 month medical suspension after UFC 204

Per Haljestam-USA TODAY Sports

Michael Bisping’s face was a bloody mess following his first successful title defense against Dan Henderson at UFC 204.

Bisping, who fought Hendo in Manchester, England, battled back-and-forth with the MMA veteran and picked up a unanimous decision win.

Henderson launched not one, but two devastating right hands and almost completely removed ‘The Count’ from his senses in the early rounds. Bisping, though, in vintage fashion, persevered and managed to overwhelm Henderson with a high volume of strikes.

Following the fight, 46-year-old Dan Henderson -- who announced his retirement in the post-fight interview with Brian Stann -- joked that fights should be scored on who looks the worse for wear.

Bisping, who was almost forced to retire after Vitor Belfort detached his retina with a head kick in 2013, is to be medically suspended for six months unless cleared by a doctor.

MMA Junkie provided the full medical suspensions yesterday.
