After a huge win in her last fight, Paige VanZant returns to the headlining spot. The women's strawweight fighter and Dancing With The Stars runner-up will meet Michelle Waterson in the main event of a UFC card in Sacramento on December 17th. The UFC tweeted the announcement just a little while ago:
VanZant (7-2, 4-1 UFC) rebounded from a one-sided loss to Rose Namajunas by scoring a massive knockout win over Bec Rawlings at UFC on Fox 21 in August.
Waterson (13-4, 1-0 UFC) picked up a submission win over Angela Magana in her UFC debut back in July of 2015. She was supposed to fight Tecia Torres next, but suffered a knee injury and has been out since then.
The show will take place in the Golden 1 Center. The only other bout announced for the card thus far is between Mickey Gall and Sage Northcutt.
