They said what?! Pros react on Twitter to Ronda Rousey’s UFC return

Jason Silva-USA TODAY Sports

In case you missed the big news, UFC president Dana White announced on FS1’s The Herd with Colin Cowherd that Ronda Rousey will be back inside the Octagon for the big year-end pay-per-view. As expected, Rousey will get an immediate title shot against reigning champion Amanda Nunes, who’s surely thrilled that she was able to get the big matchup that she was looking for. UFC 207: Nunes vs. Rousey will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Friday, December 30th. It’ll cap off a whirlwind 2016 for MMA, including several marquee pay-per-views for the UFC.

How did MMA Twitter react to today’s announcement? Just scroll along this page and you’ll get your answer. Before we go on any further, Cris Cyborg’s Twitter timeline is currently a series of retweets from fans who are suggesting or outright saying that Rousey is “ducking” the Invicta FC featherweight champion.

Note: We’ll have more reactions published in this post as they roll in.
