Jose Aldo was badly knocked out by Conor McGregor and lost his UFC title in just 13 seconds last December. Despite the bad loss though, Forbes has still decided to include him on their '30 Under 30' list for sports in 2016.

According to Forbes, the 29-year-old Aldo, was still featured because of his long reign at the top of the sport.

"Even with his UFC 194 loss, Aldo would still make any comprehensive list of great UFC fighters," Forbes wrote. "He was the defending featherweight UFC champion and was ranked No. 1 in official UFC pound-for-pound rankings. He also went a decade without losing a match since 2005 and reigned as a world champion for 6 years."

His conqueror in McGregor, who is still just 27-years-old, didn't make the cut, nor did any other fighter this year. Past iterations did include other UFC stars, with Jon Jones listed in 2015, and Ronda Rousey in 2014.

The 2016 list features NBA superstars like Steph Curry and Russel Westbrook, NFL's Cam Newton, and other young sports stars and executives.

The judges for this year include NBA star Carmelo Anthony, LA Clippers owner Steve Balmer, and Boston Bruins CEO Charlie Jacobs.
