Chael Sonnen joins cast of new season of Celebrity Apprentice

Chael Sonnen has a new gig, and it's a pretty big one - member of the cast of Celebrity Apprentice. The show seemed to be dead in the water when host Donald Trump decided to run for president of the United States, but apparently not. It's back for a new season with Arnold Schwarzenegger at the helm, and Sonnen is one of the contestants vying for some charity cash.

He joins the likes of my favorite running back Eric Dickerson, Snooki, Laila Ali, Boy George, Motley Crue's Vince Neil, and my second-favorite running back Ricky Williams. There are more people but you can read the press release (via Deadline) for that.

Sonnen is listed in the release as a "former UFC standout and mixed martial artist". The 38-year-old is retired now after failing a gaggle of drug tests, and works for ESPN as an analyst. He also has had a career in business, working as a realtor and running a pizza place for a while.

The article doesn't state when the show will air, but it will be on its usual network, NBC.
