UFC 192 already has a gaggle of interesting bouts, and now you can add two more to the list. One will feature a battle of former flyweight title challengers when Joseph Benavidez meets the returning Ali Bagautinov, while the other is a showdown between promising strawweight fighters Rose Namajunas and Angela Hill.
Benavidez (22-4, 9-2) has picked up three wins in a row since his last title shot, most recently defeating Dustin Ortiz by decision in May. It was expected that he would face off with Henry Cejudo, but that will not be the case.
Bagautinov (13-3, 3-1 UFC) hasn't competed since June 2014 when he lost a lopsided decision to flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson. Bagautinov tested positive for EPO after the bout and was suspended for a year.
Namajunas (2-2, 0-1 UFC) won three straight bouts on The Ultimate Fighter 20, but came up short in her title bout against Carla Esparza in December. Hill (2-1, 1-1 UFC) is coming off a loss to Tecia Torres at UFC 188 in June.
Also of note for UFC 192 is that Liz Carmouche is out of her bout against Raquel Pennington, who is currently seeking a new opponent.
UFC 192 will go down on October 3rd in Houston and will be headlined by a UFC light heavyweight title fight between Daniel Cormier and Alexander Gustafsson.
