UFC heavyweight Stipe Miocic is looking to get back in the win column when he faces off with Mark Hunt in Adelaide, Australia on May 10th. The affable big man recently spoke to Submission Radio about his upcoming bout, and he's confident that he'll be able to walk out of the cage with a victory. He talked about a few different things in the interview (you can watch the whole thing above), but one of the more humorous responses was in regards to Hunt saying he was going to knock Miocic out cold:
"You know it's business man. I understand he wants to get the win, so do I. I mean he's going to do whatever he's going to do and I'm going to do whatever I'm going to do to win. So like I said, I'll bring a pillow if he wants me to, I mean it's all good man. Listen there ain't no hard feelings towards him. You know he seems like a nice guy, shook his hand and everything, but listen man at the end of the day it's business and I'm here to fight."
He also spoke about how deal with the formidable striking of a former K-1 champ:
"I'm not trying to get hit with a lot of big shots, you know (Laughs). I know he hits hard, [I'm going to] just keep my distance, you know do my thing. Whatever I work on I'm going to do in the fight and then I'm going to win the fight. I don't care what's going to happen. I'm going to win that fight. I'm going to get my hand raised at the end of the night."
"It's Mixed Martial Arts man, I don't care where it goes. I'm going to win every aspect of that game."
Miocic (12-2, 6-2 UFC) hasn't competed since coming up short in a bout with former champ Junior dos Santos at UFC on Fox 13 in December.
