Following five negative performance enhancing drug (PED) tests in a row, Vitor Belfort has finally earned the Nevada Athletic Commission's approval to fight middleweight champion, Chris Weidman, at UFC 187 on May 23rd.
As reported by Combate, Belfort, who hasn't fought in over a year since he was caught with high levels of testosterone in his system, has now passed five random tests, which helped secure his license from the commission.
Clean as a whistle, the Brazilian is now ready to take on Chris Weidman, who had only one thing to say about it when he heard the news.
"Looks like I finally got the green light to put this beating on Vitor. We only got two months left, Vitor, I hope you're gonna be ready", said Weidman on a video he posted on his Instagram account.
Belfort and Weidman will play the role of the co-main event of the evening for headliners Jon Jones and Anthony Johnson.
