The knockout loss at UFC Fight Night: Mir vs. Bigfoot had an impact more powerful than Sam Alvey's punches for Cezar Ferreira.
The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil's season one middleweight champion, Mutante has made up his mind on making a move down to 170 pounds in order to put his career back on track. According to Tatame, he intends to be back as soon as June.
"I'm just waiting for the UFC to give me a fight, but I think I'll be back by June. I made my drop to welterweight official this week and now I'm anxious to debut in the UFC again".
When asked the reason behind the sudden change of weight classes, Ferreira claimed it was a doctor's advice, though he feels his reach was also at a setback at 185.
"After I had back surgery, my doctor told me not to put on much weight anymore. Besides, I will have a reach advantage and I never had problems making weight".
Cezar Ferreira ends his middleweight run with a record of 4-2 in the UFC and could possibly come back in the TUF: Brazil Finale card, which will take place on June 27th.
