UFC on FOX 17 bout order finalized; Markos vs. Kowalkiewicz opens up main card

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The UFC will finish 2015 with a FOX card at the Amway Arena in Orlando, Florida on Saturday, December 19th. In the main event is a lightweight championship fight between Rafael dos Anjos and Donald Cerrone, a rematch of their 2013 non-title bout, which RDA won by decision. Now the belt is on the line, with dos Anjos making his first defense. The co-main event is a heavyweight showdown between former champion Junior dos Santos and former Strikeforce champ Alistair Overeem. Also on the main card is Nate Diaz against Michael Johnson, while the opener is a debut for Polish strawweight talent Karolina Kowalkiewicz against Canada's Randa Markos. That bout was announced on Wednesday and is no doubt a tough draw for Karolina's debut.

Good news for fight fans though, as the televised preliminary card will also be on big FOX. On tap is the recently announced featherweight contest between Charles Oliveira and Myles Jury, as well as Bloody Elbow's own Josh Samman welcoming Tamdan McCrory back to the UFC. If everything holds (blame me in advance when it doesn't), this is looking like an excellent way to finish off the year.
