UFC Lightweight Jake Matthews and multiple-time BJJ champion Carlos 'Portuguese' Vieira are back to show you some more moves to add to your combat/grappling arsenal. This week, Jake shows off a neat way to pass your opponent's butterfly guard, and end up in full mount.

Assisting with the demonstration, will be 4th degree BJJ black belt Carlos 'Portuguese' Vieira. Carlos is a 2x Pan-American champion, a 2005 Brazilian champion, and a 2x Pan-Pacific champion (to name just a few). Jake meanwhile, is a BJJ brown belt and has four submission victories to his name (two in the UFC). He will also be facing Akbarh Arreola in the UFC 193 preliminary card.

In this week's installment of Submission Radio's "Technique of the Week", Jake demonstrates how to render your opponent's butterfly guard useless and pass all the way to the dominant position of full mount. The technique can be applied in both BJJ and MMA, however pay close attention to Jake's tips on what not to do, as well as the pitfalls of this move.

Enjoy the video above, and happy training!
