Jon Jones is back at it again, Tweeting-and-Deleting as he normally did prior to his social media hiatus. This time though, it wasn't an insult that he posted, instead it was a compliment towards his former rival in Daniel Cormier.
Shortly after his successful title defense against Alexander Gustafsson, the former top pound-for-pound fighter sent out a video on social media showing him nodding his head in approval. It came with the following caption: "You showed some heart tonight DC".
What was likely his first compliment towards Cormier, didn't last long on his Instagram profile. Nothing really stays deleted on the internet though, so here's a screen grab:
Both former opponents of Jones, DC and Gustafsson battled on a highly entertaining scrap that went back and forth. In the end, it was Cormier who got his hand raised after surviving a third round knockdown and winning a split decision.
While he fought well for the most part, Gustafson's second shot at the title had him fall short on yet another tough decision.
