After the main event and co-main event were scratched from UFC Fight Night 76, it was a foregone conclusion that the official UFC rankings weren't going to see much of a change in the aftermath of the show. That played out as expected. The main event winner did crack the rankings however, and there were a few other minor moves. Probably the most eventful change was the removal of a former title challenger at women's bantamweight. Here's how it all breaks down:
P4P - LHW champ Daniel Cormier moved up one spot to eight, bumping LW champ Rafael dos Anjos down to nine. Frankie Edgar passed Anthony Pettis for the 12 spot. And Renan Barao made his way back onto the list at 15.
Heavyweight - No changes.
Light Heavyweight - No changes.
Middleweight - No changes.
Welterweight - No changes.
Lightweight - Edson Barboza passed Ben Henderson for the six spot, dropping Bendo to seven.
Featherweight - No changes.
Bantamweight - Vaunted prospect Thomas Almeida moved up one spot to eight, bumping Takeya Mizugaki to nine. Frankie Saenz took over the 13 spot, with Francisco Rivera falling to 14.
Flyweight - Kyoji Horiguchi and John Moraga flip-flopped the six and seven spots. Ali Bagautinov moved up one spot to 12. UFC Dublin winner Louis Smolka makes his rankings debut at 13. Chris Cariaso falls two spots to 14.
Women's Bantamweight - The lady that used to occupy the number three contender spot is off the list. Alexis Davis, who announced her pregnancy in August, has obviously taken a leave of absence from fighting and will be out until at least late 2016. With her removal (not sure why they waited until now), there were a lot of bumps. Amanda Nunes is at now at three and Sarah Kaufman is at four. Julianna Pena moved up two spots to five, leapfrogging Sara McMann. Holly Holm is at seven. Bethe Correia is up two spots to eight, leaving Jessica Eye behind in the nine spot. Liz Carmouche is up to ten, Marion Reneau is at 11, Raquel Pennington is at 12, Germaine de Randamie is at 13, and Jessica Andrade is at 14. Lauren Murphy cracked the list at 15.
Women's Strawweight - Jessica Penne is down to four. She was previously tied for the three spot with Rose Namajunas. Juliana Lima is up to 13, bumping Felice Herrig to 14.
