Video: iPhone 6 vs 6s? Luke Rockhold tests them out, UFC style

The new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are said to be much tougher and stronger than their predecessors, but can they survive a Luke Rockhold roundhouse kick? Because that's the most important question when deciding to upgrade your phone, right?

Watch the clip above where the UFC star destroys tests the iPhone 6 and 6 plus compared to the new iPhone 6s and 6s plus. Apparently Rockhold was so successful at breaking these, that one of them actually went up in smoke.

I guess the important lesson here is that if you can kick as hard as Luke Rockhold, don't kick your iPhones.

Is that of sizzle? How he would he not damage his foot?

I don´t know what language this is but

what do you think a mma fighter is kicking with his foot in a fight or sparring?
Most body parts aren´t much softer than plastic (also of course you´re supposed to kick the "meaty and fleshy parts" and not the bones or joints, especially not with your instep)…

Ha, I meant fo shizzle (I recently saw Straight Outta Compton).

I have no idea what the new phones were made of. I just assumed if I kicked my iPhone 4 like that I might well do some nasty damage to my foot.

Yeah, probably...

That´s why you´re no Michael Bisping…uhm…Luke Rockhold!

Anyone else question the risks involved here?

Not sure if I had a title fight lined up I’d be doing dumb little stunts like breaking phones with my hands. As he was forcing hard to bend them I had visions of them shattering and shards of glass or aluminum shearing into the arteries in his wrists… Dude should be smarter than that.

It's plastic

i can’t see how he gets hurt, i couldn t do that to save my life but i don t htink i d get hurt trying. As for kicking the phone, knee and shin clashes in light sparring are harder i think.

You've never seen a sharp piece of plastic?

just saying

i can totally see a world class kicker llike cokhold doing that kick on a phone 15 times and not getting hurt once. I assume the phone shatters in pieces from hitting the wall on that video, not when luke connects.

It’s the twisting the thing with his hands that i cannot believe.

im more worried about glass not plastic

i cracked an iphone not too long ago and shattered glass pieces were everywhere. i think luke is lucky he didnt get cut.

uh i wouldn t know

but if you say so …

1000 ways to die...

As bad as the s6 is (compared to previous Galaxy models,)

I’d still take it above any Iphone. The Iphone is a restricted brick that’s only worth getting if you care about games. Otherwise, any other "phone" is a better option.

At least, that’s how I see it.

Have to disagree

The Galaxy s6 is by far the better phone. Neither the iPhone 6 or New Galaxy models have removable batteries or expandable memory, so neither holds the advantage there. The s6 has a better camera and processor, but you cant degrade Apple when you support an OS that uses names like lollipop, ice cream sandwich, kit kat…

LG G4, homie.

Thank you.

So many restrictions on iOS, it’s literally meant for people who can’t bother to think for themselves.

Surprised he chose to crack it face-to-face with the glass

But then again, Rockhold is the manliest of men. Probably doesn’t give a fuck.

Should have tried to kick it with his "third" leg...

Before someone´s asking who taught him the kick:

luke's face expression is like

"god does this guy ever shut up?"

Can he really split a phone with his hands?

Damn, son.

Those kicks are things of beauty.

Now, for the ultimate test. Iphone vs. Bisping’s ribs.

That's smart, especially against devices that have been known to explode and cause grievous injury

If he was unlucky, that would have happened and the title fight would have been scrapped.

Don’t try this, Anderson Silva.

Men, women, and children

are starving on the streets. What’s with all the videos of people trying to break $600+ phones. I don’t get it.
On a side note, those kicks are delicious.
