Nick Diaz's 5 year ban for what the NAC deemed to be his 3rd marijuana drug test failure has been widely criticized by fans, media, and UFC fighters. Henry Cejudo has flat out stated that he will not fight in Nevada, even if it's for a title shot against Demetrious Johnson.
Well for those who have been thinking to themselves, "What does Conor McGregor have to say about this?", you're in luck! McGregor sides with the consensus that Diaz was given a raw deal by the commission, and called the situation "ridiculous" in this week's 300th episode of The MMA Hour: (Via MMA Fighting)
"The Nick Diaz situation... is absolutely ridiculous," McGregor said. "I can't wrap my head around that whole situation."
"I wish him well," McGregor said. "I've always been a big fan of Nick and his style of fighting. it would be a sad day Nick doesn't lace up the gloves again and won't make that Octagon walk."
Video of the entire interview can be seen at the top of the page. In the meantime, McGregor, the UFC's interim featherweight champion, is scheduled to fight Jose Aldo at UFC 194 on December 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
