Photos: Ronda Rousey's UFC 175 hand injury was from 'cyst' under the knuckle

Ronda Rousey only needed 16 seconds to dispatch of Alexis Davis, leading to Joe Rogan asking the champion if she was willing to save the UFC 176 card next month. It was something that Dana White didn't seem to be pleased about, but it looks like it isn't likely to happen even if they wanted to.

Rousey suffered a nasty cut and a possible hand injury in the fight, and it needed several stitches to close up. The champion stated that she continued to rip her knuckles in training that led to a 'cyst' forming. She said she didn't elect to have surgery on it, but it opened up during the event.

"I developed a cyst under my knuckle," Rousey said during the post-fight press conference, "I kept dismissing it and I ripped it open on the first overhand right."

Apart from the hand injury, Rousey also confirmed that she has some knee troubles, and already has surgery scheduled to happen soon.
