Matt Hughes vs. Renzo Gracie grappling match set for ADCC 2015

USA TODAY Sports

After meeting in the UFC octagon several years ago, Matt Hughes and Renzo Gracie will collide once again in a grappling contest at the Abu Dhabi Combat Club (ADCC) Submission Wrestling World Championships next year.

"It's a done deal," Gracie told MMAFighting.com. "Matt asked to compete again at the ADCC and they offered me this wonderful fight. I wasn't expecting for this, but I immediately accepted it."

Hughes and Gracie competed at UFC 112 - coincidentally also in Abu Dhabi - back in 2010, and will now cross paths again half a decade later in September 2015 for their scheduled grappling contest.

The former welterweight champion holds a 2-2 record at the prestigious event, as he beat Ricardo Almeida and Jeremy Horn before losing to Jeff Monson and Tito Ortiz.

"Let's do this again," Gracie said. "Every time I have a chance to compete, I'm in. I can't say now. He fought there before, he's really tough. It's going to be a great fight."

The American fighter also revealed that he will be training with Brazilian jiu-jitsu blackbelt Liborio, the head coach of American Top Team, ahead of the match.
