Former boxing world champion Holly Holm has recently signed with the UFC, and the current undefeated MMA star spoke to AXS TV about various topics. Among the things discussed is Ronda Rousey, and while Holm says she will let the matchmakers handle the selection of her opponents, she states that she's in it to challenge the champion:
"Ronda’s obviously the one to beat. Is she doing great? Absolutely. She’s really been cleaning up. She’s got a lot of skill and she’s a big threat. But everyone’s also beatable. If I didn’t want that fight, why would I be in this sport? If you don’t want to make it to the top, you shouldn’t be doing this. Absolutely that would be a fight I’d want to look into."
After a 33-2-3 boxing stint that saw her establish herself as one of the best Female boxers in this generation, Holm has gone 7-0 in her MMA career, showing excellent kickboxing skills and a wide array of powerful strikes in the process. Her ground game is still generally an unknown commodity, and there will be a bevy of contenders looking to test it once she steps foot in the Octagon.
