Paul Daley's upcoming fight will take place in his native Britain, as he is scheduled to compete on the BAMMA 16 fight card in September.
The former UFC welterweight competitor is expected to headline the event, which takes place on September 13 in Manchester, England. The promotion revealed the news to MMAFighting.com, but also mentioned that his opponent is yet to be finalized.
"Semtex" holds a 34-13-2 record in MMA competition, and has won five of his last six fights, including his most recent win against Romario Manoel da Silva during his last outing in BAMMA.
UFC President Dana White was in Berlin last week, where he was asked about Daley's chances of returning to the UFC octagon. Although White made no promises, he was no longer as emphatic about Daley's permanent ban.
"Paul Daley had his management write me a letter a few days ago, basically saying that he has grown up a lot since that incident, he's been on a win streak, and it's one of the biggest regrets of his life, and things like that. I showed it to (UFC CEO) Lorenzo (Fertitta) and Lorenzo's like, ‘it's up to you brother, what do you want to do?' And it's such a hard one for me. It's a hard one for me."
