Report: Rustam Khabilov gave Ali Bagautinov 'a beating' in Greg Jackson's gym

Over the span of the next two UFC shows, lightweight Rustam Khabilov and flyweight Ali Bagautinov will take part in their respective main events, with the latter competing for the title presently held by Demetrious Johnson. News has come in that the two natives of Dagestan, both of whom train at Greg Jackson's camp in Albuquerque, got into a scuffle at the famed gym. Dave Meltzer has the details via Wrestling Observer (subscription required):

If that's not bad enough, there was a real fight in the gym with Bagautinov and Rustam Khabilov. While everyone is publicly playing it down, everyone also admits it happened. The way we heard it was Khabilov, who is a lightweight, gave Bagautinov a beating, although not bad enough to cause him to pull out of the fight.

There have been murmurs about the alleged skirmish dating back to May 23rd, when Inside MMA reported that the two men had to be separated. Bagautinov denied comment on the incident to MMA Junkie's Mike Bohn earlier this week. It certainly would have been something if Bagautinov was forced out of his bout due to a fellow training partner causing a serious enough injury.

This is definitely something worth keeping an eye on as they both prepare for their upcoming fights. Khabilov meets former lightweight champion Ben Henderson in Albuquerque before Bagautinov fights Demetrious Johnson at UFC 174 in Vancouver.
