UFC Fight Night San Antonio post-fight bonuses: Swanson, Stephens win FOTN

The UFC's second fight card of the day may not have had as many stoppages as it's predecessor, but overall it was an entertaining night of fights that featured some entertaining scraps and a few slick submissions to boot.

While most fans and pundits did not expect the main event to go the distance, Cub Swanson and Jeremy Stephens put on a compelling back-and-forth battle for the San Antonio crowd. "Lil Heathen" was clearly the better fighter in the early stages but Swanson recovered to push the pace in the later rounds and eventually secured the unanimous decision victory as well as "Fight of the Night" honours.

Carlos Diego Ferreira needed all of 38 seconds to earn the victory in his UFC debut against Colton Smith. The former Legacy FC lightweight champion added to his five-submission wins with a slick no-hooks rear-naked choke to keep his perfect record intact.

Ray Borg avenged the loss in his UFC debut by putting on an outstanding performance against Shane Howell. The Flyweight quickly took the fight to the mat, where he transitioned to take Howell's back and eventually secured the rear-naked choke victory.
