Join us tonight for episode 11 of The Ultimate Fighter: Team Edgar vs. Team Penn. The Ultimate Fighter airs on Fox Sports 1 starting at 10:00 p.m. ET. We'll have TUF discussion, right here at Bloody Elbow.
Last week, the semifinal round got underway. In an upset, Eddie Gordon advanced to the finals by defeating Middleweight favorite Cathal Pendred in a three round fight. Gordon already upset Mike King - now he's in the finals where he awaits the winner of Roger Zapata vs. Dhiego Lima. A Gordon vs. Zapata final would be... something.
Also last week, naked drunkenness. No need to say more.
On we go to this week and semifinal #1 on the Light Heavyweight side. Here, it's two Team Edgar fighters competing for a slot in the finals, as Corey Anderson takes on Patrick Walsh. Anderson has very limited professional experience, but he has a great amateur wrestling pedigree and looked like he has the potential to develop into a solid UFC fighter. Walsh also used his wrestling to make it to the semifinals with his win over Anton Berzin. On this very wrestling, decision heavy season, this could be a dull fight, but I'm tentatively optimistic for an entertaining Anderson win.
