Wanderlei Silva hopes to fight again soon, says that his drug test situation is resolved

Wanderlei Silva expressed his confidence on a quick returning to competition after his hearing with Nevada State Athletic Commission yesterday. He was accused of escaping from a collector of NSAC who was supposed to take his blood and urine to pass through drug test. A version that wasn't denied by Silva's lawyer. His explanation was that the fighter was taking diuretics and anti-inflammatories to help heal a broken wrist. The verdict of the possible - and probable - punishment of "The Axe Murderer" was delayed for another hearing to be booked but he thinks that it's all over.

The tweet says: "This story came to the end today! I'm ready to fight again as soon as possible, I thank you all for the support my dear friends."

Wanderlei's escape caused his replacement by Vitor Belfort in the fight against Chael Sonnen at UFC 175, on July 5. However, Sonnen's drug test revealed two ilegal substances in his body and "The American Gangster" is now suspended until an audience be booked to NSAC evaluate his case. The regulatory organization needs also to make a decision about Belfort's situation, because "The Phenom" was caught with high level testosterone in February, therefore the three men may be suspended or at least don't be given license for them in the state.
