UFC fighter rankings: Mike Easton plummets at 135, OSP enters top 10

UFC 174 wasn't exactly going to blow up the rankings unless there was a major upset in the main event for the second PPV show in a row. Since there wasn't...yeah, not much happened. The bantamweight division saw a bit of a change, as did the light heavyweight weight class. But that's about it. Oh, a middleweight that was removed from the rankings due to a contract issue is back already. Big surprise there.

Anyway, here's a rundown of the minor changes division-by-division. 205 has an interesting addition.

P4P - No changes.

Heavyweight - Soa Palelei moved up one spot to 14. Andrei Arlovski made his UFC rankings debut in the 15 spot. Brendan Schaub is no longer ranked.

Light Heavyweight - Ryan Bader moved up one spot to eight, passing Mauricio Rua. Chael Sonnen was removed from the rankings due to his retirement. This allowed Ovince St. Preux to move up three spots to ten. Vitor Belfort and James Te Huna moved up one spot due to Sonnen getting bounced. And entering the list for the first time at 15 is none other than Fabio Maldonado. Yes, this is how thin LHW is.

Middleweight - Vitor Belfort and Lyoto Machida continued to jockey over the number one contender spot. It's Belfort back in front this week. C.B. Dollaway moved up one more spot to nine, passing Costa Philippou. Mark Munoz re-entered the rankings one week after being removed due to a contract situation. He's in the 13 spot, which bumped Tim Boetsch and Brad Tavares down one spot to 14 and 15. Thales Leites was removed from the list again.

Welterweight - Tyron Woodley's loss to Rory MacDonald sent him down one spot to four. Carlos Condit, the man that Woodley defeated in his last bout, is now back ahead of him at three. Sure.

Lightweight - No changes.

Featherweight - Clay Guida passed Dennis Siver for the seven spot. Dennis Bermudez and Jeremy Stephens flip-flopped the 10 and 11 spots for about the fifth update in a row.

Bantamweight - Mike Easton dropped six spots from 8 to 14. This allowed Johnny Eduardo, Bryan Caraway, Francisco Rivera, Dominick Cruz, Alex Caceres, and Erik Perez to all move up one spot. Yves Jabouin didn't make the list despite his win over Easton.

Flyweight - Tim Elliott dropped from a tie for nine with Zach Makovsky to having the 10 spot to himself.

Women's Bantamweight - No changes, as usual.
