It sure didn't take long for Stipe Miocic to tear through Fabio Maldonado. The two men headlined the The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 3 Finale tonight in Sao Paulo, and the true heavyweight put away the natural light heavyweight in just 35 seconds with strikes. Maldonado was never in the fight at all, and many that expected that to be the case got what they wanted. Maldonado was a late replacement for former UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos as Cigano broke his hand in training. Globo wanted a Brazilian in the main event, so the UFC supplied one. And he got squashed.
