Today, Carl Froch and George Groves met in a much anticipated fight in front of a jam packed crowd in Wembley Stadium. The fight was a rematch from one of the most controversial stoppages of 2012. In that first fight, Froch struggled against the underdog Groves before claiming a win with an unjustifiably early referee stoppage. This time, the final result was the same, but there was no question about the legitimacy.
In round 8, Carl Froch landed a brutal right hand that dropped Groves hard. There was no doubt that Groves was done, and the referee quickly stepped in to wave it off, giving Froch his 2nd official KO victory over Groves, and first legitimate victory.
