BE's Baddest Greatest Submission Fighter Tournament: #1 Frank Mir vs #5 Joe Lauzon

June M. Williams

The Gracie Killer strikes again. Kazushi Sakuraba finally claimed the one Gracie scalp that eluded him for so many years - Rickson Gracie. #1 seed Sakuraba defeated #4 Gracie by a wide margin of 69-9. With that, Sakuraba moves into the Elite 8 where he will face either Big Nog or B.J. Penn.

Today, another #1 seed sees action. This time, it's former UFC Heavyweight champion Frank Mir up to bat. He takes on #5 seed Joe Lauzon. Lauzon scored a mild upset in the opening round, defeating Urijah Faber. Can he pull off the much bigger upset this time and take down a top seed? It's your call.
