It seems time truly can heal all wounds.
UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones was spotted at the UFC 172 weigh-ins chatting with his former Jackson's MMA teammate Rashad Evans in what appeared to be their most friendly (public) interaction in recent memory.
In fact, Jones even admit to Ariel Helwani after the weigh-ins that he actually missed Evans, whom he once considered him a role model during his early days in the sport.
"I saw Rashad [Evans] and I honestly missed him. It was weird. I just missed him. He guy was definitely like a role model in a way when I first started off and I'll always remember looking up to him.
"Even though we have fought, it is so long in the past now and I legitimately missed him."
Jones and Evans fought just over two years ago at UFC 145 in a match-up that garnered a significant amount of attention because of the history the two shared before Jones became champion. Evans, who left Jackson's MMA ahead of the fight, lost a unanimous decision to Jones, who has since gone on to defend his title on three more occasions.
