Former UFC women's bantamweight title challenger Liz Carmouche is not a fan of the potential match-up between Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano, as she believes the fight would be anything but competitive.
"I would be surprised if [Carano] lasted more than 10 seconds against Ronda." Carmouche told Mike Bohn of MMAJunkie.com. "I think it's something that would end pretty shortly."
While the match-up may be an intriguing one for women's 135lb. division, Carmouche questions how much Carano has been training over the past five years, considering most of that time was spent in Hollywood.
"I don't know about her training," Carmouche said. "I know she's participating in a lot of different films these days, and that her main focus has been Hollywood. I don't know how her training has been in the last five years."
Carmouche made history back in February, 2013, as she was one-half of the first ever women's title fight in UFC history, when she faced the undefeated Olympian at UFC 157. Rousey would finish the fight via first round armbar to bring her record to 7-0. Since then, Ronda has picked up two more victories in the octagon over Miesha Tate and Sara McMann.
Rousey has no opponent scheduled yet, and apart from her interest in the Carano bout, Cat Zingano has also staked her claim for an immediate title shot.
Time will tell which bout the UFC will decide to go with.
