The UFC has offered up a ton of fight bookings over the last week, and here's a rundown of the ones that we haven't reported on. Most are at the lighter weights, and are spread across multiple events. We'll start with a potentially great lightweight bout that's set for UFC 173 on May 24th (via UFC.com):
Fresh from a Fight of the Night scrap with Abel Trujillo at UFC 169 in February, former WEC lightweight champion Jamie Varner has verbally agreed to take on James Krause at UFC 173 in Las Vegas on May 24.
Another addition to that card sees the latest winner of The Ultimate Fighter taking on a tough challenge in his first bout after claiming the six-figure contract (via UFC News on twitter):
Just before that, we have two flyweight bouts that will be taking place on the Fight Night card in Cincinnati in May - Chris Cariaso vs. Louis Smolka, and Kyoji Horiguchi vs. Darrell Montague:
This will be Horiguchi's UFC flyweight debut.
In other news, a couple of prospects will meet at UFC on Fox 11 with Sean Soriano taking on Estevan Payan:
And UFC 172 in April will feature a lightweight contest between former Strikeforce fighter Isaac Vallie-Flagg and former WEC fighter Danny Castillo:
What do you like here folks? Personally I don't mind any of the bouts, but the Horiguchi/Montague and Varner/Krause ones are my favorites.
