A big featherweight bout is tentatively set for the UFC's next show in Abu Dhabi on April 11th. It will see Tatsuya Kawajiri facing off with Clay Guida. Fox Sports has the news:
A featherweight bout has been booked for the UFC's upcoming returned to Abu Dhabi as Tatsuya Kawajiri will make his second appearance inside the Octagon against the always popular and energetic Clay Guida at the upcoming show on April 11.
Sources close to the contest confirmed to FOX Sports on Friday that verbal agreements are in place for the featherweight matchup.
Kawajiri also tweeted about it:
Kawaijiri (33-7-2) made a successful UFC debut in January when he defeated Sean Soriano by first-round submission. The former Dream and Pride fighter has won all five of his featherweight bouts to date.
Guida (30-14) has two featherweight bouts to his name since he dropped - a close win over Hatsu Hioki and a TKO loss to Chad Mendes. He went 9-7 in 16 UFC lightweight bouts before making the decision to come down to 145.
The event, which doesn't have a home in Abu Dhabi yet, will be headlined by a heavyweight bout between Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Roy Nelson.
