After losing his third straight bout with the promotion, Charlie Brenneman's second UFC stint has come to a close. 'The Spaniard' made the announcement from his twitter account on Monday night:
The 33-year-old's first UFC tenure came from 2010-2013, going 4-4 as a welterweight. Following his release, he dropped to lightweight and racked up four wins in the regional circuit which earned him another shot at the UFC. As he made it back to the big leagues, he had a rough stretch in 2014, dropping losses to Beneil Dariush, Danny Castillo, Leandro Silva which led to this release.
The former high school teacher has compiled a 19-8 record on his 8-year Mixed Martial Arts career. He holds wins over talented fighters such as Jason High and Rick Story.
