While the UFC's final fight card of 2014 was nothing to write home about, the event did feature several interesting moments, including the announcement that former light-heavyweight champion Quinton ‘Rampage' Jackson had resigned with the promotion.
The news was announced midway through the main card broadcast and while Rampage was not present at the arena, the UFC played a vignette that featured a quick interview with the former champ as he explained why he wanted to return to the UFC.
Shorty thereafter, Bellator CEO Scott Coker took to twitter to reveal that Rampage is still under contract with Bellator and that they would "protect their contractual right."
Dana White, however, had a far simpler outlook when he tweeted a response to the signing.
It will be interesting to see how this latest incident will be resolved.
